Leave the area if you feel unsafe, and never challenge or follow the people responsible.

Report what you saw

Use the app to submit the location, type of hate speech, and any other relevant details. Reporting helps create a record and supports follow-up by the right organizations.

Document only when safe

If you can do so without risk, take a photo that clearly shows the hateful content and its surroundings. Images can help preserve evidence and support investigation.

Leave the scene undisturbed

Do not remove, cover, scratch out, or damage the material, and do not handle objects that may have been left behind.

Do not confront the perpetrator

This can escalate the situation and put your safety at risk.

Do not remove or destroy hateful material yourself

It may interfere with evidence, affect how authorities respond, and could put you at legal risk if you damage property. Removal should be handled by the appropriate authorities or property owners.

Do not put yourself at risk to get a better photo or more information

No report is worth getting hurt or entering a dangerous situation.

Do not assume someone else has already reported it

If you saw it, reporting it helps make sure the incident is recorded. If a similar signal has already been reported at the same location, the app can recognise this and suggest existing reports to help avoid duplicates.
